Spend enough time on Instagram and you’ll come across this guy who’s seemingly obsessed with dachshunds, exorbitantly priced Swiss sausages and selfies taken while holding ice-cream. He also seems to possess exceptionally bad luck when it comes to flying, having documented many airport-induced meltdowns on his Instagram. Schadenfreude in the 21st century.

He also knows a thing or two about watches. We’re talking about Wei Koh, founder of both Revolution and The Rake. He’s in print, he’s online, he’s everywhere. Wei is also one of the most eloquent and sartorially savvy guys in the watch industry. Having helped shift watch editorial from the dusty hobbyist section of the bookstore to the coffee tables of Savile Row tailors.

Always on the move, we managed to catch Wei in his hometown of Singapore to hear his take on watches: the industry, the media landscape and where he thinks it’s all going to end up.
